    The Hispanic Business Council works to better assist the Hispanic business community. The Indianapolis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce merged with the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce in 2005, creating the Hispanic Business Council. As part of the HBC’s commitment to growing Hispanic business enterprises, the Mentor-Protégé Program was developed. The Mentor-Protégé Program encourages the development of Hispanic-owned business by pairing them with larger, successful mentor firms.

    Project Stepping Stone is a one-week college prep summer program (in June) that helps Hispanic high school students successfully prepare for college and beyond. Project Stepping Stone introduces selected students to potential careers and includes visits to several Indiana college campuses and businesses. This program is offered, at no cost to students, by the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), and partnering sponsors.
