Organization, motivation, and self-love are quintessential to doing more than just surviving teenage years. Through a variety of lifestyle tips and tricks, Self-made Self-care for the Teenager combines empirically proven cognitive-behavioral approaches, under the guidance of clinical child and adolescent psychologist Dr. Thomas Ollendick (a member of the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology Division 53 of the APA) and pediatric physical therapist Dr. Kathleen Ollendick, for managing stress and emotions with academic tools for success - from the perspective of a teen. The proceeds of this work will be directed towards the social development department of the Camino Seguro School in Guatemala City, so that it may continue to work to prevent gang violence, peer pressure, and parental abuse amongst adolescents, whilst fostering the next generation of self-confident Latin American leaders.
