The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and American Council on Education have partnered to propose two methodologies for achieving a universal measurement of socioeconomic mobility across all American Higher Education Institutions. The importance of accurate data reporting cannot be overstated, as socioeconomic mobility, workforce development, performance-based funding, and student debt discussions revolve around one central concern: student performance and meaningful outcomes. President's Proposed 2025 Budget Boosts Science, Innovation, and Data Systems Sara Schapiro’s analysis of President Biden's proposal for the 2025 budget—which requests significant funding increases for essential education research and development programs across various agencies—is worth bookmarking. Key Funding Increases: The budget proposes notable increases for the Institute for Education Sciences and Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems. It also enhances support for the Accelerate, Transform, and Scale Initiative, Education Innovation and Research, and grants for R&D infrastructure at #HBCUs, #TCCUs, and #MSIs. The National Science Foundation (NSF)’s Directorate for STEM Education (EDU) will receive a substantial boost. I was curious about the idea of stacking or blending scenarios from Association of Research Libraries two sets of scenario planning toolsets. Using GPT 4o, I was able to generate 16 new "enriched" scenarios by combining them together. It's something I want to explore further. It is becoming increasingly important to be able to utilize AI to be efficient, but garbage in will equal garbage out. I love this guide to help your team ensure when (not if) you utilize predictive AI that the data you have is ready for the task.
