Voluntarily taught an introduction to Python programming course at Santa Barbara City College. We used the e-book "Learn Python the Hard Way" by Zed Shaw. The course was open to the public for anyone interested in learning more about Python. It spanned for an hour and a half one day a week for eight weeks. The diversity of students interested in the course was surprising; students from a wide range of educational backgrounds and skill levels attended.

The Android (Java) app looks at your upcoming google calendar appointments and updates the color of each Raspberry Pi node (Python) to help you manage your time more effectively. The lights signify how much time until your next appointment without having to constantly check your phone, so you can be productive during this time.

I supported the development of this application, focusing on the client (Python) sever (Java) TCP/IP programming with network sockets and back end Android application development. I presented and effectively communicated the functionality of the application on stage in front of an audience of hundreds of attendees at the AT&T IoT hackathon.
