    Arts and Culture

    Heather was appointed to the CAB in 2008 by then Mayor Gavin Newsom, to add a representative from Arts and Culture to the board membership. She was the elected Secretary of the CAB from 2009 until 2018, responsible for capturing accurate meeting minutes for public record, running meetings and officer elections when the Chairwoman or Vice Chair are absent, and weighing in on all aspects of redevelop planning and process.

    • 2008 Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award for Sustainable
    Communities
    • 2009 AIA Institute Honor Award for Urban Design

    About the CAB:
    The Treasure Island/Yerba Buena Island Citizen Advisory Board (CAB) meets regularly and provides additional as-requested expertise to the TIDA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may refer to the CAB from time to time to provide recommendations concerning the transfer and redevelopment of former Naval Station Treasure Island. Members of the CAB represent of the following categories of expertise or experience: affordable housing, arts and culture, marine and waterborne activities, film/television industry, Job Corps, commercial redevelopment, organized sports, the environment and open space, environmental control and remediation, organized labor, transportation planning, land use planning, economic development and job creation, and open meeting advocacy.

Heather was responsible for selecting, color-adjusting, prepping, and placing contextually relevant and beautiful images into web pages on the burningman.com website. This position also included creating sets of images to be featured on the website homepage. She led a team of volunteers who did back end image upload processes to import images into the online…

    Enklu opened a pop-up augmented reality play space and maker space in the heart of the Westfield Shopping Centre in downtown San Francisco. This experimental and experiential venue allowed visitors to experience immersive augmented reality content and to learn how to make it themselves.     Told the story of Sprint 5G using a 7 scene mixed reality journey of holographic overlays mapped to physical models. Attendees could see Sprint’s 5G coverage across the U.S., learn how the technology works, and got a sneak peek of what’s to come with 5G-enabled connected cities and IOT.

    First shown at MWC-LA and earning accolades as “the booth to beat,” an updated version was later brought to CES. This experience became part of Sprint’s marketing toolkit to be redeployed or easily…

This ground-breaking experiential marketing experience placed visitors inside a fantastical holographic jungle environment, with interactive symbolic particle effects and descriptions displayed directly above real-world products.

    For this high-throughput conference entertainment experience featured by the Electronic Entertainment Exposition (E3), Enklu’s immersive augmented reality content was integrated with props, projections and haptics. Players were immersed in an enchanting forest full of trees, flowers, friendly animals, and life-sized mushrooms. While exploring, they discovered they had magical powers and could interact with this holographic environment.
