    At the core of Taproot’s work is the idea that those business professionals can use the skills they already have - in fields like marketing, information technology, strategy, finance, and human resources - to join forces with those nonprofits and move the ball forward in all of our communities.

    While volunteering with PepUp Tech:
    - Co-lead initial pilot program - multiple 2-day immersive workshops.
    ​- Participated in the vision of launching PepUp Tech as a Nonprofit org.
    - Designed fundraising campaigns and secured multiple partner funding while building strategic alliances.
    - Collaborated on ideation with WIT User Group, Salesforce MVPs & leaders within Salesforce.

    Economic Empowerment

    Built two foundational “seed” houses for partner families in Franca, Brazil. Through a microfinance program, the families continue to expand the house after our team completed its work.

    Served on team of 23 volunteers in various capacities while learning several home building skills: foundation, masonry, bricklaying, wall construction, roofing and others.

    Habitat Brazil empowers entire communities and strengthens the abilities and resources of marginalized communities.

  • Salesforce Summer Bootcamp @ Monroe College

    The Salesforce Bootcamp program provides an opportunity for people underrepresented in technology (i.e. women, immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ) to learn the fundamentals of the Salesforce platform, the Salesforce ecosystem, and explore careers within the ecosystem. Upon completion of the bootcamp students enter a mentoring program paired with professionals volunteering their time to assist students tracking towards Salesforce certification and ultimately career or internship…

    The Salesforce Bootcamp program provides an opportunity for people underrepresented in technology (i.e. women, immigrants, people of color, LGBTQ) to learn the fundamentals of the Salesforce platform, the Salesforce ecosystem, and explore careers within the ecosystem. Upon completion of the bootcamp students enter a mentoring program paired with professionals volunteering their time to assist students tracking towards Salesforce certification and ultimately career or internship placement.

    All students who attended this 2-day immersive program come away understanding the fundamentals of the Salesforce platform, including application development, data management, product development, system administration, system architecture and user interface. The program also emphasizes career visioning, industry trends, and career networking with the heavily active and engaged NYC community.
