I am currently serving as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. In our 20th year, our organization recently rebranded and restructured from a membership organization, to an events organization, focused on hosting impactful events highlighting the latest developments in technology and their business applications.

In this role, I am a member of group of technology industry veterans and rising stars who are focused on advancing the most current technologies available today, and those that are soon to be reality. Our primary goal is to foster communication among a global community of technology leaders to help them better leverage technology to better serve their customers.

The pace of change in the technology industry has never been faster, and the Emerging Technology Community is at the forefront of this transformation. I am excited to work with a current undergrad in the Lerner Business School at my alma mater, the University of Delaware. My mentee is bright, enthusiastic, and gifted in marketing and finance. By sharing my professional experiences over the past (ahem) few years since graduating, I have the opportunity to provide some insight as to how she can channel her strengths, leverage her network, and embark successfully on the next leg of her journey.

Founded in 2009, The Small Business Web is the trade association for companies selling cloud-based software for small businesses. Over 200 member companies are working together to make the Open Web the best place to build, find and sell software for small businesses.

Tech Impact's ITWorks program provides an intensive, 16-week program, immersing young adults into the field of information technology. Upon completion, graduates are well-equipped to embark on an IT career as a helpdesk technician or related field. This is the perfect alternative for those interested in technology, yet without the means or desire to pursue a college degree.

As members of the newly-formed Telecom Advisory Council, we are provided the opportunity to help "bridge the gap" that currently exists between the telecom and IT channels.
