The Montana Air National Guard, 120th Force Support Squadron, conducted joint operations with the Montana Army National Guard, focusing on search and recovery training. These operations were aimed at enhancing the capabilities of multi-capable airmen and advancing Agile Combat Employment. The primary objectives of these joint operations, during Agile Vigilante 24, were to: 1. Improve coordination and interoperability between the Air National Guard and Army National Guard. 2. Enhance the skills and readiness of multi-capable airmen in search and recovery missions. 3. Integrate and test advanced Agile Combat Employment technologies in combat and recovery scenarios.Airmen and Army National Guard personnel participated in exercises that simulated various disaster and combat scenarios requiring search and recovery operations. This included wilderness recovery, and post-disaster response. The joint operations yielded several significant outcomes: 1. Enhanced Interoperability: Improved coordination between the Air National Guard and Army National Guard resulted in more effective joint mission execution. This enhanced interoperability is crucial for rapid and cohesive responses to emergencies. 2. Multi-capable airmen demonstrated increased proficiency in diverse operational roles, making them valuable assets in complex mission environments. The 120th FSS joint exercise between the Air National Guard and Army National Guard significantly enhanced the search and recovery capabilities of both forces. The focus on multi-capable airmen and Agile Combat Employment demonstrated the effectiveness of advanced training and technology integration in modern military operations. This collaboration has strengthened the preparedness and versatility of U.S. military personnel, ensuring a robust response capability in diverse operational scenarios. #mca #ace

ICYMI, yesterday we wrapped up the 2024 US Army Intelligence and Security Enterprise Industry Day with the help from our friends at AFCEA International. Among the highlights of the event: The >400 Industry teammates in attendance heard from the 48th G-2 of the Army, Lieutenant General Tony Hale, as he provided a threat update highlighting the challenges of operating in this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. We also heard a big vision outlining his call to action - giving us a North Star to guide us toward clarity in the chaos. #Together we will tackle the challenges of horizontally integrating intelligence capabilities to ensure we stand ready to perform our 24/7 intel mission around the globe. And we will never forget that our profession exists for only one reason: to assist Commanders in making more decisions, faster ones, and better ones.

Enabling change in large organizations takes persistence and patience. Extremely proud of the Materiel Readiness team members both past and present who provided input to DODI 3110.5. Establishing Ao, Am, and Cost per Day of Availability (C/DA) as superordinate measures is but one step in creating the data framework necessary to better link sustainment investments to operational outcomes. Over the last two years the services have established Ao and Am goals for all major platforms and are reporting actual performance to ADVANA. Over the next 60 days the MR team and Service reps will complete the linkages necessary for automated data pulls to complete the remaining 15%. Yesterday, 13 June 2024, was the one year anniversary of the DoD Tiger Team's Recommendations "To Optimize Foreign Military Sales." Maybe I missed the follow-up, just like I missed the follow up to the Dept of State 18 May 2023 "FMS 2023: Retooling Foreign Military Sales for An Age of Strategic Competition." But that's OK, I'm sure the Congressional FMS Tiger Task Force report issued 7 Feb 2024 will solve things...or maybe there will be another tiger team, blue ribbon commission, or "Vision 2030" published next year that talks about how critical the FMS process is to our partner, allies, and to U.S. national security. The U.S. cannot afford to keep talking about re-tooling of Foreign Military Sales process. We need real change and we need it NOW!

Omni Federal is pleased to announce a recent award to lead the development of SOCOM’s Enterprise Training Marketplace within Digital University. SOCOM recognized a need for a comprehensive, secure, and user-friendly marketplace where SOCOM units can easily explore, select, purchase, and manage approved training from reputable vendors. Speed, convenience, and flexibility are the three core principles of this simplified procurement process. SOCOM requires an Amazon-like platform with automated procurement features that can be easily changed and adapted to meet evolving mission requirements. This single mission-enabled platform will allow users to acquire the necessary training needs of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), Special Missions Units (SMUs), and SOCOM service components. We leveraged a deep understanding of SOCOM’s distinct enterprise training requirements to conceptualize a unique SOCOM Training Marketplace design within Digital University. Our initial focus is to create a streamlined user interface and enhance the user experience for effortless navigation through the extensive pool of 100+ SOCOM-specific vendors. To capture SOCOM stakeholder needs, Omni is applying our commercially proven Human-Centered Design process adapted to meet the mission and security needs of DoD agencies. Our scope of work includes integrating an easy-to-use and streamlined procurement process, initially developed, and validated by the Digital University Program Team to expedite the acquisition of training resources. The specific and unique SOCOM Training Marketplace procurement process seamlessly aligns with the well-defined and strategically crafted set of Digital University acquisition stages, enabling integration of the two to meet specific training requirements established by the SOCOM enterprise.
