During the past 4 years I have had the opportunity to help as a mentor of women participating in this program. The Asnuntuck Community College Women’s Leadership Institute was established in 2014, in response to requests from female students for leadership development programs offered specifically for women. “Launch Your Leadership Journey”, is a tuition-free, 3-month, leadership development program for ACC female students. Bi-weekly sessions feature leadership knowledge, skill, and attitude… Show more

seminars, as well as group discussions on critical social issues. Topics include:
leadership identity, ethics, addressing gender bias, communicating
with leadership presence, problem solving skills, assertiveness skills, networking,
addressing conflict, collaboration, and leading change.

I am a member of Governor Lamont's Council on Women and Girls. As a participant of the newly created Steering Committee, I will work with other colleagues of this Council on its goals and objectives. I am also a member of the Subcommittee on Education & STEAM. I am very proud to be able to provide my support and experience in this area.
