    During the past 4 years I have had the opportunity to help as a mentor of women participating in this program. The Asnuntuck Community College Women’s Leadership Institute was established in 2014, in response to requests from female students for leadership development programs offered specifically for women. “Launch Your Leadership Journey”, is a tuition-free, 3-month, leadership development program for ACC female students. Bi-weekly sessions feature leadership knowledge, skill, and attitude…

    During the past 4 years I have had the opportunity to help as a mentor of women participating in this program. The Asnuntuck Community College Women’s Leadership Institute was established in 2014, in response to requests from female students for leadership development programs offered specifically for women. “Launch Your Leadership Journey”, is a tuition-free, 3-month, leadership development program for ACC female students. Bi-weekly sessions feature leadership knowledge, skill, and attitude building
    seminars, as well as group discussions on critical social issues. Topics include:
    leadership identity, ethics, addressing gender bias, communicating
    with leadership presence, problem solving skills, assertiveness skills, networking,
    addressing conflict, collaboration, and leading change.

    As a mentor I share my professional experiences and give feedback to the women participating in this program.

As a participant of the newly created Steering Committee, I will work with other colleagues of this Council on its goals and objectives. I am also a member of the Subcommittee on Education & STEAM.
