Hearing more about Citius Retreats, this growing business, from Dr George Bownes today was fantastic. I feel grateful to be working in this market at such an exciting time, due to the innovative business models coming out across health, performance and well being. People want to meet their goals, rehab their injuries, and perform for life. There are expert practitioners ready to assist. The challenge has been providing this integrated multi-disciplinary service similar to Elite Sport and Military Rehab models in a private market. What does this look like in practice? Medicine + Health + Wellness = Recovery + Results + Return to Sport What are your thoughts? Would you go to one of these retreats? #health #performance #sportsmedicine #rehab #recovery #wellness

With around 40 hotels eco-certified and many more under the process, MGallery Hotel Collection is making great progress to streamline sustainability in hotel's operations. Whereas there is still a lot to do, eco-certification is a first key step. It is a great tool to encourage hotels to adopt a long-term vision, raise awareness among the staff, build rigorous reporting and implement concrete measures. MGallery are boutique hotel very much intertwined with their local community. Acting on the conservation of resources, local sourcing or supporting local initiatives is closely tied to their unique identities. Among this network we find passionate people. Step by step, they strive to do better. For instance: taking up the challenge of energy conservation at Molitor Paris - MGallery, promoting sustainable food at Domaine Reine Margot - Issy-les-Moulineaux - MGallery Collection or Cures Marines Trouville Hôtel & Spa, MGallery, beeing active promoters of diversity and inclusion at INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery Collection or MGallery Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery, educating on biodiversity Golf du Médoc Resort - MGallery Hotel Collection, and much more around the world. #sustainableluxury

If you're looking to attract and retain top talent, here's a tip : Research shows that a positive work culture with a sense of purpose marked by good leadership, recognition, and effective communication channels, is a cornerstone of talent retention. Is High Employee Turnover in the Hospitality Industry a Result of Neglected Training? I recently read an insightful article by Anne-Céline Depierraz, a consultant at EHL Hospitality Business School. It delved into the persistent issue of high staff turnover in the hospitality sector, a topic that should concern us all. One compelling answer to this challenge is the neglect of employee training. When employees are not adequately trained, they feel ill-equipped and undervalued, leading to low morale and job dissatisfaction. This, in turn, fuels high turnover rates that disrupt business operations and erode service quality. Comprehensive training programs are not a luxury but a necessity. They empower employees with the skills and knowledge needed to excel, fostering a sense of confidence and commitment. Consider the impacts of high turnover: 1. Financial Strain: Recruiting and training replacements are costly. 2. Remaining staff are overburdened, lowering service levels and reducing sales. 3. Damaged Morale and Reputation: High turnover can tarnish a company's image and affect community perceptions. To tackle these issues, we need to prioritise training. Proper training leads to: 1. Reduced Employee Turnover: Employees feel valued and are less likely to leave. 2. Improved Performance: Well-trained employees perform better and make fewer mistakes. 3. Higher Customer Satisfaction: Knowledgeable staff provide superior service, enhancing customer experiences. By investing in robust training programs, we can reduce employee turnover, improve service quality, and build a more sustainable industry. Let's discuss: How can hospitality businesses better prioritise and implement effective training programs? What challenges have you faced in this area, and what solutions have worked for you? #Hospitality #EmployeeTraining #StaffTurnover #CustomerSatisfaction #Leadership #EmployeeRetention #HospitalityIndustry #TrainingMatters #WorkplaceCulture

Major partnerships and the Group’s diversification across various geographies and segments have positioned us for success. I am extremely proud of the progress we have made at Accor. Our partnerships with renowned brands like LVMH for the curation of Orient Express highlight our commitment to excellence in the #Luxury and #Lifestyle division, and our 2024 half-year results largely reflect our strong performance. 1️⃣ EBITDA up 13% to €504M relative to the first half-year of 2023 2️⃣ Revenue up 11% to €2,677M relative to the first half-year of 2023 3️⃣ The Luxury & Lifestyle (L&L) division posted an 8% increase in RevPAR relative to the first half-year of 2023 4️⃣ The Luxury segment, posted a 6% increase in RevPAR compared to the second quarter of 2023. 5️⃣ Lifestyle RevPAR increased by 14% compared to the second quarter of 2023. As the year progresses, I am confident about what year 2024 holds for us. A big thank you to my team and to all our teams worldwide for making these results happen, and of course, none of this would be possible without our Heartists® in the #hotels and the support offices. Sustainability sits at the heart of Accor’s strategy, a key driver of innovation and actions across the Group. As sustainability surges in global importance, we embrace the opportunity to drive change and recognize that the event sector must play a key role and lead by example. At Accor, we aim to pave the way for more responsible practices, committed to carbon and waste reduction, and strengthening ties with local communities. As the world reimagines meetings and ways of working, positive impact will be the differentiator. Today, more than ever, the sector has the green light to drive change.

https://lnkd.in/eggX_QPj DULL CLISHE : "Working hard leads to success" " I am a real hardworker!" " You need to work harder!" "Hardwork always pays itself.." We keep hearing this for decades. Right? Well,is it so really? We all need to work hard at the beginning of our career, after graduation as a junior person. That goes without saying. We need a lot of catching up to do and gain experience! After gaining experience however, working hard is superseded by working smart as " hard worker" loses it's meaning and purpose. "Work smarter, not harder!" I personally have rejected two DOE candidates during an interview just because they told me how hardworking they were, working even over the weekends.. That was the end of the interview 😞 A person who works smart knows his/ her priorities, knows how to delegate, knows how to plan, works with objectives, knows his/ her KPIs and knows how to achieve the desired results. Besides the above, the smart worker knows he/she has to look after his/ her mental and physical health, spend quality time with the family, socialize and go for holidays... This is how we will gain the ability to be able to work smart! # Working smarter, not harder

🌍 🌍 🌍 Accor our education and understanding of sustainability helps us to walk the walk and talk the talk in being a good corporate citizen. In celebration of World Biodiversity Day that took place last May 22, we had the opportunity to dive into the new “Taking action for biodiversity as a company” module through School for Change our ongoing learning courses! This course explored the critical role of business in conserving biodiversity. While many large companies have an impact on biodiversity, few integrate it effectively into their strategies, missing out on significant benefits. Building on the knowledge gained in the “Collapse of Biodiversity” module, you can now delve deeper and learn how to address biodiversity strategically, from where to start and which methodologies to use, to essential concepts for making informed decisions and avoiding common mistakes that companies often make. It was another eye opening learning experience. 🌍 🌍 🌍

Wellness that works indeed. One of the things I truly admire about working in wellness is our industry's openness to collaboration. It's one of our greatest strengths. Citius are a shining showcase of this – by bringing experts together, merging their skills, experience, networks and ideas, they are creating truly innovative injury recovery and wellness services. By working as a team, we can accomplish far more than any one person could alone. The result, we can make a far greater impact, and improve the quality of more lives. This is what matters, this is why we do what we do.
