My involvement in this project is through the Columbus Sunrise Rotary. The Bartholomew County School Supply Assistance Program helps over 2,100 local children every year with the school supplies they need to be successful. Additional information on the program can be found at bcssap.org
My role is maintaining our basic website and leading the Fill the Bus event where we collect school supplies donations at the local Wal-Mart. Last year, we raised nearly $1000 in cash donations and…My involvement in this project is through the Columbus Sunrise Rotary. My role is maintaining our basic website and leading the Fill the Bus event where we collect school supplies donations at the local Wal-Mart. Last year, we raised nearly $1000 in cash donations and filled about a third of a full size schoolbus with material donations!
In addition, we maintain a network of donation locations throughout the community where community members can donate material donations or scan a QR code to link to the website to make a monetary donation.
Its a great project for a great cause!
