In addition to her regulatory practice, Emily is an Adjunct Professor of Law at New York University School of Law, where she co-teaches Food and Drug Law and Policy. Emily has a scientific background in molecular biology, has also led research projects on genomics and innovation in agriculture at The University of British Columbia and has published extensively on legal and policy issues related to genomics and regulatory issues.
