  • Gersh Academy Puerto Rico

    I traveled to Gersh Academy of Autism in Puerto Rico and provided the school staff with an all day training on Autism and setting up programs for their students.

    I traveled to Nicaragua as requested by a parent of a former client with autism I worked with for over a year. The family moved to the country to live as missionaries and needed assistance in setting up a program for their son at the private school he attended. I spent a week at the school providing training to the staff and setting up the classroom. i have a video available upon request showing the improvement in the child's behavior just after one week of support. To this date, the child…

  • Unsung Hero

    Lindt Chocolate

    I was one of three individuals that were chosen as unsung hero's inthe field of autism across the US by Lindt Chocoloate Company. This was such an amazing honor! There were several hundred nominees. I received two free tickets to NY with hotel accommodations, an award luncheon plus a check for $5,000. I donated the money back to the Rivendale scholarship fund.

    Decision Makers Neworks

    The award was presented to me for "making an incredible difference in our community by providing year round educational opportunities to children with learning disabilities, language delays, and autism. Rivendale provides families an alternative to public education and allows students to achieve their full capabilities by allowing them to lean in an environment emphasizing social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Currently, it is the only program of it's kind in SW Missouri."

    Business and Professional Women of MO

    This was award was given to one woman in the state of Missouri who provided other women career opportunities and a positive role model for women in the area of business development and leadership.

    Springfield Sertoma Club

    The Sertoma Club is an organization in the Springfield community serving those in need. The award was given to me due to my commitment to children with disabilities in our community.
