  • FCV3000 Simulator

    This month I helped install software and configure a FCV3000 control van with a flight simulator system. The vans already have the system installed but this one needed some tweaking to get it to work as advertised. The system will provide our clients and Pilot Techs a training environment with real world simulations preparing them to perform in the field.

    This is a Marine EGA Symbol Shadowbox I was asked to build. It’s solid Mahogany except for the eye and toes of the Eagle which are Walnut. The Eagle is done in the Intarsia Art form I enjoy doing! I used a real piece of rope thinking it would accentuate this project. I felt the dome which represents the globe would set this apart from any other displays like this. The backing is black felt on foam core. And as an added surprise to the recipient, I added a light kit to light everything up at…

  • Shadowbox Coffee Table for CMSAF James Roy

    Pentagon

    I was contacted by the office of the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF) who at the time was James Roy. To build a one of a kind retirement display. A solid Walnut coffee table with the Chiefs office seal made in the Intarsia art form on one end and the his Civil Engineering functional badge on the other end.   • Vice Presidents Air Force II Aircraft

    -

    Prepared the grounds to receive Air Force Two to the Dover Air Museum, Assisted maintenance crew with final engine run to purge remaining fuel from the aircraft. Positioned the aircraft for display. Secured flight controls for static display. Cleaned and prepared the interior for public viewing.
