    I coached the Richmond Hill, GA YMCA roller hockey team for 4 seasons, working on teaching team work, dedication, and hard work. The team went from last place to 3 straight league titles during my first 3 seasons, and a 2nd place in the last season. I then moved on to coach the area all-star team.

  • Mobility Tracker

    - Present

    Build a repeatable process to track all personnel within the wing to make sure all qualifications to be deployable are meet so they can be assigned to missions. Tracking of missions, locations, funding lines and budgets to be used later for business analysis to collect metrics.

  • 352 Special Operations Wing SharePoint rebuild

    - Present

    Rebuilt SharePoint to leverage metadata and content types to allow users to find the information they need. This resulted in a higher efficiency to answer the questions from senior leadership in shorter time.

  • NSHQ Mobile development applications

    Built out iOS application for NSHQ personnel to allow them to better communicate, as well as gather information from external users.

  • NSHQ SharePoint Migration

    Migrated the NSHQ from SharePoint 07 to 2010. Using a new design to enhance UX and increase productivity. Over 66 sites were built in 3 different site collections on 2 farms, on both the BICES and NATO un-class networks.

  • NSHQ un-class rebuild

    Re-design of the NSHQ un-class web sites using MURA CMS, ColdFusion 10, MS SQL. By taking lessons learned from the old system was able to make the new system better to meet users needs.

  • Systems intergration

    Built the strategy for the NSHQ to enter data once and use N number of times. By having all of our systems talk, we were able to lessen work for users and the ability to get better data. This includes internal systems, external systems and mobile.

  • SOCEUR Mission Support Request System

    -

    Provide a more managed approach to requesting air support by tightly integrating Mission Support Request (MSR) with SOCEUR Operations Actions and Activities (OAA). This integration, along with improvements to the interfaces used to create and track MSRs, will help to minimize “last minute” requests for air support, increase overall visibility of air support demand by SOCEUR and the components, and improve coordination between JSOAC-E and SOCEUR’s JMOC.

  • Joint Special Operations Air Component-Europe SharePoint build

    -

    Worked with all level of JSOAC-E members to gather requirements, identify shortfalls, and write out business processes. Built out all list, document library levering both metadata and content types to align the organization knowledge needs to enable effective knowledge management.

    Darrin Kay has doubled the footprint of the NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) KM / Web Shop from 4 billets to 8 in the last 9 months. These positions are directly related to the excellent service the KM / Web Shop provides to the NSHQ via Darrin's leadership and technical expertise. Additionally, he has expanded his duties to include managing additional subcontractors, and expanded leadership responsibilities.
