Rosa Parks Commemoration Marred by Milwaukee Bus System PR Blunders
Electronic Urban Report
I commend MCTS for honoring the legacy of the “Mother of Freedom Movement,” but I hope they fully optimize on the public relations opportunities to increase the impact of similar future campaigns. For this go round, the transit company missed the bus with the noteworthy campaign.

According to the Black Women’s Health Imperative, “Nationally, Black women account for 66% of new cases of HIV among women.” Another compelling reality is that the HIV rate among Black women in some cities in the United States is comparable to the HIV rate in some African countries. (Excerpt) In her current position, Mrs. Mitchell empowers her clients to #ShineOnline through compelling LinkedIn presentations, trainings, one-on-one coaching sessions and LinkedIn profile audits, services which have since gone entirely virtual in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, she adjusted her business model to reflect her status as a "LinkedIn Results Ignitor" due to expertise in helping her clients garner exceptional results on the platform. Prior to the pandemic, her speaking engagements included sold out crowds in Milwaukee, New Orleans, Omaha and Detroit. She was featured on "Our Issues Milwaukee," a WVTV CW18 public affairs show, in August 2020 to provide her insights on how business owners and job seekers can fully utilize LinkedIn to help their businesses or to find a job.
