As Pride Month 2024 concludes, brands have shown strong support for the LGBTQ+ community through various marketing campaigns: 1. Google led a multifaceted campaign, partnering with LGBTQ+ organizations and launching Pride-themed AR effects in Google Meet, along with highlighting LGBTQ+-friendly businesses on Maps and Search. This year saw a 50% increase in corporate sponsorships for Pride events compared to 2023. 2. Media and Entertainment: Platforms like Hulu, ABC, and Tubi featured extensive LGBTQ+ content. For example, Hulu’s Pride programming attracted millions of viewers, showcasing the community’s diverse stories and voices. 3. Corporate Initiatives: Major brands like Nike and Adidas launched interactive campaigns. Nike’s “Be True” collection and Adidas’ Pride apparel supported LGBTQ+ athletes and influencers, promoting inclusivity in sports. Over 70+ major brands launched specific Pride Month campaigns this year. 4. Educational Content: Apple featured stories of LGBTQ+ individuals, while Microsoft provided training and resources to foster inclusive workplaces. The NYC Pride Parade alone saw over 1 million participants, with numerous brands involved in sponsorships and floats. It was inspiring to see brands supporting the community during Pride Month, but it’s crucial to continue this authentic support all year long. 🌈💪 #PrideMonth2024 #InclusiveMarketing #LGBTQ+ #Support #Diversity

As Pride Month approaches, many brands are reconsidering their strategies. Recent trends show a shift towards more subtle celebrations, driven by rising backlash against “rainbow-washing” and increasing scrutiny over genuine support for LGBTQ+ communities. 📉 What’s Changing? • Consumer Sentiment: There’s growing consumer awareness and demand for authentic representation and support. • Risk of Backlash: Brands face criticism for superficial gestures that don’t translate into meaningful action. 🤔 What Can Brands Do? • Authenticity: Ensure that Pride campaigns are backed by real, year-round support for LGBTQ+ rights. • Internal Policies: Reflect the values you promote externally with inclusive workplace practices. • Long-Term Commitment: Build ongoing relationships with LGBTQ+ communities beyond June. #PrideMonth #BrandStrategy #LGBTQ #Authenticity #Marketing

Arc was the most-awarded commerce agency at this year’s REGGIE Awards. 9 times. Reality: When you choose a life in marketing, you don’t always get to market things (brands, services, ideas) that directly align with your personal values. This year’s award-winning work created in partnership by Arc and Unilever: - Amplifies multicultural voices - Eschews perfection - Promotes family connection and positive self-worth in young women - Provides affordable, healthy meal options to families Do these align with my personal values? Yes. Yes. Yes. And…Yes. It thrills me to see this work connect with people, build businesses, perpetuate good in the world, and receive recognition for all of it. #IrresistibleCommerce #REGGIE #award #Unilever #ClientPartner #arcww

We live in a world where things are changing at a more rapid pace than ever before. Consumers are faced with more choices than ever, and it's a big challenge to stay ahead of the curve in gaining consumer attention, much less in getting consumers to act. The best resource you have in understanding consumer behavior is your consumers. There are tools and processes for getting to know your consumers on a deeper level and connecting with them in meaningful ways. Here are some insights from my team at The Ward Group that you might find valuable. #consumerbehavior #mediabuying #mediaplanning #advertising #consumerresearch #mediastewards #paidmedia

Netflix streaming was one of Amazon Web Services (AWS) early success stories and proofs of concept (I'll drop a link in the comments). "Amy Reinhard, the company’s president of advertising, was clear: Netflix will roll out a proprietary ad tech platform by next year." Could Netflix in-house #adtech be the next Netflix <> AWS collab? There's history there and this could be a major win for proving the value of AWS for Advertising out in the wild... #adtech + #cloud = 🔥
