HUGE changes for #CollegeSoccer ahead. This is my ‘take’ but I may be wrong. - Lots of NCAA ‘lesser’ schools will drop Men’s Soccer (over the next few years - not immediate) - Which means the top end ones will get stronger talent pools - Other divisions (NAIA, NJCAA etc) will become stronger because of better talent available to them - But because of less teams it’ll be tougher to get onto a roster as a whole - Which will increase the overall levels in College Soccer - This above will create a rise in non traditional set ups, where the NPSL and UPSL may get involved and tie in with education institutes. Which they are starting to already but a more formal setup. - Club soccer in College should also start to get a better standard. And they are the strongest numbers ever recorded. Among the highlights: ⚽ 63 percent of cities that responded said sports are the top room-night generator in their communities. 💵 The sports-events industry had a direct economic impact of $52.2 billion in 2023 and $128 billion overall factoring all spending. ✈ More than 200 million people traveled to youth and adult amateur sports, as well as collegiate championships in 2023. 🛌 Sports-related travel generated more than 73 million room nights in 2023. WNBA Motion Tracking, whether through R packages such as "trackR", or even Adobe After Effects, can help determine defensive double-team rates on certain positions. Can then correlate those rates with archetypes of the opposing players, such as height, weight or box score stats. Further improving analytics to aid in sports wagering.
