What can you do to stand out when applying for your first job in recruiting?
When getting into recruiting, there will never be enough training material, classes, podcasts, etc. to prepare you for your first job. Every company, industry, job will be different so always go in with an open mind and take bits and pieces to make your process the most effective. You’ll do a lot of research on skills that align with your company but try to really understand what your company is currently lacking and what skills they are looking to bring in. Don’t oversell… listen to candidates and allow for them to talk about their experience and why they would be a good fit. Often times, you’ll learn a lot about the role you are looking to fill by simply chatting with people.
