“I had the opportunity to work with Brenda for 3 years and I am so grateful for my time with her at Buckle. This woman is amazing, and her leadership is top-notch. She has such a kind way of giving honest, constructive feedback that allows you to grow and improve without causing shame or embarrassment. Observing and experiencing how she has conversations and handles challenging situations helped prepare me for the next level of leadership in my career. I truly don't believe that I would've been ready to step into a Director role without her guidance and training. One thing Brenda taught me, which I will use for the rest of my career and in my personal life, is that you should always do the right thing, the right way, for the right reason. Brenda not only teaches this, but she lives it in everything she does, even when it's not easy. I would've loved to have worked with Brenda for a few more years to gain even more from her leadership, but I had a career opportunity that I couldn't pass up. Brenda was so supportive of me taking this opportunity and has continued to be a mentor and a great friend.”
