In my senior year of High School I helped create a weekly sports news program with my friend Kurt Gingrich, called NASHCENTER. Aptly based off of SportsCenter we aimed to provide a show to broadcast across the TV's of our entire high school's morning announcements that showcased student athlete achievement, features, and touched on local Pittsburgh sports. As the year went on our episodes gained much traction and improvement as we followed our North Allegheny football team's run to the Western PA, and ultimately PA State Championship. Following the success and quality of our coverage, we sought to obtain a unique opportunity to cover our hometown Pittsburgh Steelers as they had made it to Super Bowl XLV. After reaching out to Pittsburgh sports broadcasting personalities we connected with a contact within the NFL who we passed along our work to. After correspondence we were able to earn press credentials to Super Bowl Media Day, a first amongst high school students.
