Bill is a founding partner at Platt Cheema Richmond PLLC and has previously served as Managing Partner and head of the firm’s litigation section. Bill’s focuses his practice on representing entrepreneurs and companies in litigation and at trial regarding business agreements, real estate transactions and contracts, and related corporate disputes. Through his involvement with DAYL and the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, Bill has provided his time and his expertise to young lawyers and law students as a coach, educator, and mentor. In addition to mentoring young lawyers, Bill has made profound contributions to professional excellence and diversity in the legal profession and community. He has served as the Chair of the State Bar of Texas Asian Pacific Interest Section; as President of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association; and as a Director of the Dallas Bar Association, among other roles. It is for these reasons and more that Bill Richmond is the 2023 DAYL Outstanding Mentor Award recipient."
