  • TiEcon 2015 Leadership Team

    For the third year in a row, we have set new records for attendance for TiEcon. This year 4800 delegates from 22 countries attended TiEcon making it once again the largest conference for entrepreneurs worldwide.

    The emphasis was on gender diversity this year among the speakers. I am happy to report that as many as 40 high achieving women were among the 200+ speakers at this conference. This was the goal we had set ourselves but it was not easy and it required significant outreach and…

    The emphasis was on gender diversity this year among the speakers. I am happy to report that as many as 40 high achieving women were among the 200+ speakers at this conference. This was the goal we had set ourselves but it was not easy and it required significant outreach and extra effort from the TiEcon leadership. I am particularly thankful to the TiE community for suggesting the names of some outstanding women achievers - we were proud to invite them to speak at TiEcon. By the way, my email soliciting your help on identifying women speakers generated the highest response of any email that we have sent to you before. The issue of women participation must have touched a cord. So, thank you if you took the time to respond to that email.
