    The Logan Star is awarded to an individual who has made a significant contribution to airport safety. It was awarded to me for my contributions in working with Boston Logan International Airport to improve conditions for pets traveling through the airport. Since 2006 I have taught classes to first responders, flight crew and baggage handlers at Logan International Airport to help educate on medical needs, handling and safety of pets they interact with.
