He connected the African American struggle for civil rights with broader movements for decolonization and human rights across the globe, making it relevant to any socio-political movement worldwide where the oppressed are facing the horrors of occupation or the aftermath of past colonization. Palestine has been colonized, and Palestinians have been oppressed since 1948. This article analyzes his entire debate and speech and connects its relevance to the suffering of Palestinians, and further highlights the tactics that the state of Israel and its accomplice, United States (government and media) uses to dehumanize Palestinians and downplay the struggle and suffering of Palestinians. Malcolm X highlight all the tactics in his speech and how it was done in his time. This methodology has not changed since his time, and we are seeing this being used in our present time.

  • Refutation Of Samuel Huntington’s Use Of ‘Resurgence’ And ‘Fundamentalist’ To Describe Islamic Organizations And Their Social Welfare Work – OpEd

Eurasia Review – A Journal of Analysis and News

In this article, I discuss Samuel Huntington's (author of "The Clash of Civilizations and Remaking of the World Order") use of the "Resurgence" and "Fundamentalist" to describe the Islamic organizations that did great social welfare work in the Muslim-majority countries. In this article, I discuss Samuel Huntington's (author of "The Clash of Civilizations and Remaking of the World Order") use of the "Resurgence" and "Fundamentalist" to describe the Islamic organizations that did great social welfare work in the Muslim-majority countries. The terms "revival" and "Traditionalist/Islamic" were better and milder terms to describe the organizations, which would remove any negative and stereotypical connotations associated with these words. This would help the reader in the West understand the historical and sociological context behind the revival of Islamic values in Muslim-majority countries and the crucial role these organizations played in creating hospitals/clinics, educational institutions, and eventually creating a civil welfare society that addressed the needs of people. Behind these organizations, there were students and intellectuals, an educated elite that joined these organizations to address the needs that governments in the Muslim-majority countries were failing to fulfill; hence, "resurgence" and "fundamentalist" overshadowed the work these organizations did as they returned to Islamic values. It was also important for these organizations to return to the Islamic principles that would offer solutions tailored to Muslim societies. This revival happened, according to Huntington, because Muslim-majority countries rejected Western ideals/solutions. They did embrace modernity, but this did not mean that Muslim society also wanted to adopt Western ideals that contradicted the socio-religious identities of 1 billion Muslims.

To establish exclusivity and undisputable rights, Netanyahu’s determination to establish Israel’s domination of the Palestinians is seen through his lethal bombardment and aggressive rhetoric. The genocide of Palestinians happening presently is evidence of establishing such dominance.

In the following article, I put forward the viewpoint of Rollo May, the noted author of "The Man's Search for Himself," and suggest that due to the current state of affairs throughout the world, we are still living in an age of anxiety. I further analyze the ideas from David Brooks' article on America having a moral convulsion and point out that Rollo May and David Brooks' ideas, though many years apart are really similar and point to the fact that our present time has witnessed majors events like wars, pandemic, social injustices and in the mix of all this, technocrats and politicians are attempting to architect a world that individuals cannot relate to either. It has created a polarized world. The individual is disintegrated. He/she suffers from anxiety, disappointment, and mass confusion.

Published in 1953, Rollo May wrote in The Man’s Search for Himself, that “Two world wars in thirty-five years, economic upheavals and depressions, the eruption of fascist barbarism and the rise of communist totalitarianism, and now not only interminable half-wars but the prospects of cold wars for decades to come while we skate literally on the edge of a Third World War complete with atom bombs—these simple facts from any daily journal are enough to show how the foundations of our world are shaken.” This sentiment is like the sentiment of our present times. The foundation of our world is certainly “shaken,” and it is shaken to a point where the present time is brimming with anxiety, mass confusion, and disappointment.

This is the story of many Bay Area commuters, whether they live within Bay Area or in the Central Valley. $8 trillion were spent in the wars of the last two decades, and the monetary aid for Ukraine continues. While the money is quickly approved for foreign wars, matters such as the rising cost of education, improving the education sector, and student debt relief are politicized largely. How long have students in the United States been trying to get the federal government to make the cost of education affordable and provide students with debt relief? Why is the matter of improving the education system and aiding students to prosper always politicized? Why does the student loan forgiveness issue grinded through courts and congress while money is easily committed and disbursed for foreign wars? These are some of the key questions that require honest and sincere reflections. Any government that fuels wars and continues to fuel them over prioritizing education for its citizens while lecturing the rest of the world for not making education accessible must reconsider its standpoint and credibility. The words of President Lyndon Johnson are forgotten, who stated that education was “no longer a luxury, but a necessity.” The modern world continues to get complex and technologically advanced. For a nation to thrive in the modern world, it needs to prepare its citizens by providing necessary education without burdening its citizens with debt, not by fueling foreign wars.

COVID-19 emerged as a fatal disease, stalling the global economy, and our normal lifestyle that we once enjoyed. It happened so because of poor eating decisions of eating wildlife that have fatal bacteria and venom in it; therefore, these wildlife animals are carriers of dangerous viruses as we witnessed in this pandemic food. Halal food only proves meat and various food ingredients that are healthy for the human body. Recently, Khadim Hussain Rizvi, leader of TLP was booked under sedition and terrorism charges at Lahore’s (Pakistan) Civil Lines police station because of what he preached and the chaos he created in Pakistan with his political rants while he used the name of religion as legitimacy for his chaos. In this article, I discuss the recent decision that President Donald J. Trump made regarding Jerusalem. The article begins with a historical analysis of Balfour Declaration and discusses the recent decision of President Trump. I define such a decision as an irrational decision at a time where strengthening diplomatic relations with other nations and communities is of utmost importance. President's Trump lack of careful consideration on such a sensitive issue adds to the suffering of Palestinians more; thereby, eliminating any possibility of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. This decision caused a global uproar, a decision that 128 nations voted against at the United Nations. I further discuss that such major decisions like the Balfour Declaration and President Trump's declaration also shed light on the plight of Palestinians who have been struggling to raise their voice against the oppression that has been documented. The Amnesty International organization and many other journalists have visited the West Bank/Palestine and have documented the miserable conditions that Palestinians have been living under. The international organizations like the UN, a place where international community gathers and NATO need to strategically step in and make sure that Palestinians are not further dehumanized and get Israel to change the aggressive policies against the Palestinians.

This is a severe criticism of such a culture in Pakistan that cost the life of a traffic police officer at the hands of an MPA, Majeed Achakzai who 1) broke the traffic law, 2) brutally ran over the traffic police officer, and 3) demonstrated exactly the problem haunting Pakistani society. This article is to mobilize Pakistani society to break away from the culture that breeds unjust VIP practices and nepotism, both giving a wrong sense of entitlement to government officials and the military personnel in Pakistan. The article calls for a check-and-balance system. A number of incidents have happened that cost the lives of individuals, common Pakistani citizens, because they were forced to accommodate a VIP, usually a provincial and federal government official and established military personnel without a valid reason. The following article raises the question of what does President Donald J. Trump's Muslim ban really mean for the immigrant Muslims and Muslim countries. Although President Trump's policies violate American constitution and adds more fire to the xenophobic and Islamophobic rhetoric, it is also an awakening moment for all the Muslim nations to look within. The majority of the immigrant Muslims who left Muslim countries face a dangerous level of attacks here in the United States and other Western countries, a fact that statistics also support. The responsibility now falls on the Muslim nations and their leaders to reassess their own immigration policies and re-examine the sociopolitical conditions that can provide economic opportunities to the immigrant population that feels suffocated within Muslim lands because of the rigid policies. The Muslim nations also now need leaders who understand the need of time. I take on such a topic to motivate immigrant Muslims to show political activism within Muslim countries to call for a change that gives Muslims the environment, the economic opportunities, and the security that they seek in the West.

Since the origin of Pakistan is based on religious identity, which shaped and continues to shape the cultural identity of the nation as well, the nation must re-introduce the principles of Islamic monotheism to its citizen. Presently, the religious and cultural identity of Pakistani citizen is in crisis because globalization and advancement in technological and communication technologies has been a source of internal conflict for the Pakistan as an added cause of the existing problem of certain sects that misguide people. Many religious groups within Pakistan mislead people in the name of Islam via use of various communications technology. On the same note, globalization and advancement in communication and information technology are the tools of dominant Western powers to raise conflicts between old cultural and religious values versus new ideologies that push for secularism. What is more dangerous than secularism is the misleading information that various sects within Pakistan spread.
