They may not even identify as having hearing loss, yet they lose an appreciation for hi-res music, become fatigued after internet meetings, or have difficulty understanding dialogue when watching TV.

Audio companies who focus on and promote their sound quality while ignoring their customers' hearing response do so at their own peril. Today the technology exists to individually personalize the sound, and more OEMs are taking advantage to improve the user experience. This can result in higher sound quality ratings and therefore, increased sales. I also believe this has the potential to normalize thinking around hearing care and reduce stigma.
