📢 Today, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced it is opening up its value-based cancer care model, the Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM) to another pool of applicants and making improvements to the current model. 👏🏾 This is a major step forward in making value-based cancer care more accessible to practices. We applaud CMS’ efforts and are excited about what this means for practices currently in the EOM and for others considering joining. Let’s break down today’s update. ⬇️ ☑ Oncology clinics that initially opted out of EOM in July 2023 have an opportunity to reconsider. New applicants can begin participating in July 2025.  ☑ CMS recognizes the financial support practices need to provide comprehensive cancer care support and is increasing MEOS payments from $70 PBPM to $110 PBPM. For dually eligible beneficiaries, the MEOS payment will increase from $100 per beneficiary per month to $140 per beneficiary per month. ☑ The threshold for repayment back to CMS has become more favorable for practices, as they will now need to repay CMS when costs exceed 100% of their calculated benchmark as opposed to 98% of their benchmark. ☑ EOM will be extended for another two years for all participants, thus ending in June 2030. Thyme Care currently supports practices in the EOM to reduce the technical, operational, and financial complexity and improve the quality of care for patients. We look forward to supporting more practices who chose to join this new cohort.  Have questions about EOM and how Thyme Care can support? Reach out to https://lnkd.in/g3sct43J.
