Zigler Family Law extends a warm welcome to Ms. Jennifer Huffaker! Jennifer has been with us since May of this year and has rapidly become an essential part of the team. Some quick facts: - Born and raised in New Jersey and attended Lasell University where she majored in Human Services. - Became licensed in MA in 2011 and plans on getting licensed to practice law here in WA as well. - Left-handed and proud. - Served in the United States Peace Corps in Rwanda. - Jennifer loves spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their two boys. Q: Why did you choose to become an attorney? A: I tried to avoid it, but I think being an attorney chose me. When I was in college, I recognized that while we are all expected to understand and follow the law, it is written in a foreign language. I approached law school as the study of a foreign language, and I wanted to be able to understand it so that I could translate the law for others. We are lucky to have you Jennifer!

ATTORNEY SPOTLIGHT We would like to extend a warm welcome to Attorney Kiel A. Frey! Kiel was born in Monterey, California, but moved to Spokane with his parents when he was four years old. He started his collegiate education at Spokane Community College, where he graduated with an Associate in Arts, and an Associate in Applied Sciences- Criminal Justice. He then moved to attend Eastern Washington University, where he graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor's degree in Philosophy while minoring in Mandarin Chinese and Religious Studies. From there, Kiel was admitted to and graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law, and successfully passed the Washington Bar Exam. Although a new attorney, Kiel has developed a diverse base of experience working in the legal field. While pursuing his law degree, he worked as a Law Clerk and later as a Rule 9 intern for Gonzaga University's Legal Assistance Clinics. After graduating, he worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III. Following the time at the Court of Appeals, he also served for the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Spokane County Bar Association. Most recently, Kiel worked as a paralegal at a local estate planning firm. This breadth of experience and interaction with the community has instilled in a him a deep desire to provide others with guidance during their legal tribulations, and a voice with which to defend themselves. Kiel is a father, an outdoorsman (hiker, amateur mountaineer, recreational geologist), and a hobbyist craftsman. During his free time, he enjoys leatherworking, calisthenics training, and accompanying his daughter to roller derby events. In his short time with us, he has already proved to be a team player.
