Great post on the benefits of a distributed #radar architecture. With Zendar's software, #OEMs can also get higher resolution and accuracy from radar through coherent fusion of multiple sensors which creates a larger virtual aperture. Zendar software is compatible with NXP Semiconductors' PurpleBox radar processor and standard, one-chip radar front-ends from Tier-1 suppliers, delivering high performance at a low cost.

Using multiple radars as modules in a coherent system enables a larger aperture that enhances the resolution of the radar to rival #Lidar. The performance improvement enables scene understanding for #ADAS systems at longer range and higher speed than is possible with current automotive radars or alternate sensor modalities. In his presentation Antonio will discuss the implications of this technology for L2 and higher levels of automation, with a focus on highway operational design domains.
