✨️GET INVOLVED✨️ YEP Committees and the volunteers who serve on them are essential to our program meeting its stragetic goals. Our committees align with our values and mission and work on targeted outcomes of the YEP program. Social: this committee engages members within the general membership. This occurs by identifying opportunities in Erie County for members to experience, explore, and participate in other professional organization's events. Recreation & Wellness: this committee creates opportunities for members to engage in recreational and wellness activities in Erie County. This occurs by promoting the overall health and wellbeing of members. Civic & Community Engagement: this committee provides opportunities for members to engage with the community through service and civic responsibility. This occurs through regular community service opportunities, voter education and engagement activities, and learning about different areas of Erie through engaging with those communities. Their primary responsibility is to coordinate service opportunties, increase voters in the 21-40 year old age bracket, and increase young leaders in local and state government. Growth & Success: this committee promotes the personal and professional development of YEP members through education and experience. This occurs through identifying opportunities in Erie County for young professionals to lead, helping to develop the pipeline of young talent coming from our local schools and universities, and identifying meaningful educational experiences for our members. Their primary responsibility is to help YEP achieve its educational programmatic goals and establish a pipeline of young talent.

Every Friday summer morning at 7am, the Friday Morning Beach Club meets at Beach 6 for a cup of coffee, conversation, and a quick dip in the lake! YEP will be sponsoring the July 12th installment of this event series and we invite everyone to attend! These events are dog friendly and jumping into Lake Erie is by no means required, but encouraged! Please bring a mug if you'd like any of the free coffee sourced from Ember and Forge Coffee Shop.

Brianna is the owner and chef behind Zadie's Gourmet, named after her beloved pup, Zadie. Chef Brianna specializes in offering personalized cooking classes, elegant dinner parties, and convenient weekly meal prep services, all within the comfort of her clients' homes. While she enjoys authentic Italian dishes and homemade pastas, she also prioritizes using local produce and seasonal ingredients to create fresh and vibrant meals. You can catch her culinary expertise on Erie News Now, where she occasionally appears for cooking segments, or follow her on Instagram @zadiesgourmet for delicious recipes & helpful cooking content. She'll be demonstrating how to make a tasty meal for such occasions. Join us July 18th as we learn how to make fettuccine alfredo with seared zucchini, a salad with homemade vinaigrette, and brown butter cereal bars for dessert!
