Imagine having a conversation with someone speaking a different language, and being able to translate in BOTH of your languages at the same time. 🌎 Here's how it works - if one person speaks English and the other Chinese, auto-reverse will seamlessly translate Chinese into English and English into Chinese, all in real-time. No more toggling between translation apps or feeling lost in the conversation! Read more: https://lnkd.in/eR54A4kj #Translation #Multilingual #TravelApp

Take a look inside the glass! Ever wondered how the subtitles appear on a set of compatible AR glasses? Thanks to Mitchell Batavia, PT, PhD, with this neat demo you can see for yourself! #UserDemo #AccessibleTech #LifeSubtitled Alt: Repost of a kind XRAI Glass user who has described using the app on clear AR glasses and included a short video showing the subtitles appearing on the glasses.

𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 - 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗦𝗲𝗲 - As a follow up on "Smart AR Glasses for Hearing Impairments" https://lnkd.in/ew-hSY8P, I recently purchased another pair of AR glasses from a different company (for these glasses, a physical connection/cable to a smart phone is not needed and the glasses are clear. I was also able to video record the inside of these glasses for this post). 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚, 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚 -𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙨𝙚𝙚- 𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨.(turn on your speaker to fully appreciate the innovation). This technology may be useful for people with hearing impairments. (Note: recording text on the inside of the glasses for this post was a bit of a challenge; sharpness of letters is actually quite good during use). #Healthcare #Innovation #Accessibility #ADA #audiologist

"Then there is more magic: Xrai Glass app. You speak to the app and it transcribes and translates in real time into the final language (English, Hungarian, Czech, all supported). So you can speak into the app in Czech and get a Hungarian text within seconds, or vice versa." Nothing beats real life stories from our users! #LifeSubtitled #WorkSubtitled #TravelSubtitled #RelocationSubtitled
Having moved to Budapest only a week ago, I had the idea of writing a Czech-Hungarian blog, mainly as a summary of my thoughts as I get used to living in a foreign environment. Let's see how long I can keep it up :-) Topic for today: Language issues. In short, there is no way I could manage to learn Hungarian. I am too old and Hungarian is too complicated. For example, what totally confuses me is that "Kristýna" is "Kriszistina" (with "sz"). While "Zuzana" is "Zsuzsanna" (with "zs"). I apologise in advance to all the Krisztinas and Zsuzsanas if I got it wrong. On the other hand, I was surprised how good the level of English is here. It might be because of the company I work for and the fact that I live close to the centre of Budapest, but I found very few people who did not speak at least decent English. In fact, most of the people I have met speak very good English. And then there are (AI) translation tools. Downside: Safari does not support translation from Hungarian, shame on you Apple. I had to switch to Chrome, which does real-time translation pretty fast and very well. I would just recommend sticking with the Hungarian-to-English translation, which works much better than Hungarian-to-Czech. There are probably not that many texts to train on in Hungarian and Czech at the same time. For writing with other people, DeepL is a great help, not only in translating and improving texts, but mainly in translating ppt and pdf files, like presentations. Or when Hungarian Telekom sends me an SMS in Hungarian, I just copy it into the DeepL app and know immediately what's happening. Then there is more magic: Xrai Glass app. You speak to the app and it transcribes and translates in real time into the final language (English, Hungarian, Czech, all supported). So you can speak into the app in Czech and get a Hungarian text within seconds, or vice versa. Babel Fish (https://lnkd.in/eubQpJND) is really not far from us. Good times to live in. The last question for today: did I originally write this text in English or in Czech and have it translated? Is it possible to recognise it?
