Celebrating one year since we rebranded WRDE Coast TV to CoastTV has been an incredible journey. Leading this transformation was a huge project, and it wouldn't have been possible without the amazing collaboration across all departments. It started with a vision to give our brand a fresh, modern look. Working closely with our graphic designer, we created a bold new logo and a set of eye-catching news graphics. These changes not only look great but also make our news high-quality and our brand more engaging and recognizable. A big part of our rebranding was emphasizing our focus on hyper-local content, in which news was already starting to do. By highlighting stories that matter most to our coastal community, we've built stronger connections with our viewers and really showcased the unique vibe of coastal living. Working closely with the news managers to analyze ratings and help fine-tune how we push certain stories and newscasts has been very eye opening to the needs of the viewer. CoastTV has stepped up its presence in the community, sponsoring more events and connecting deeper with our audience. We’re not just covering the community; we’re part of it. Our local program, CoastLife, has become a cornerstone of our content strategy. By working closely with the team, we've pushed for more engaging topics and used a multi-platform approach to promote the show. This has brought our viewers entertaining and enriching stories, making our station more fun and modern. This has also opened new doors for sales opportunities, helping us serve our clients better. The vibrant look makes us an appealing platform for businesses wanting to reach a dynamic audience. Leading this project as my first major initiative since being promoted to Promotions Manager for Draper Media has been incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful for the hard work and support from every department. Together, we've transformed CoastTV from a TV station into a vibrant brand that entertains, informs, and engages with our community on multiple levels. #Rebrand #CoastTV #CommunityEngagement #HyperLocalContent #Teamwork #PromotionsManager

I received second place for Outstanding Coverage of a Continuing, Outstanding News Series, Best Television Photography and Best Multimedia Journalist. I’m extremely grateful to be apart of this prestigious event and couldn’t have done it without my wonderful team! The start of Memorial Day Weekend was full of debris for some Ocean City condo owners. Our CoastTV team worked together to get chopper footage, on-the-ground interviews, and meteorological information quickly for our viewers.

I love the career I have chosen and I love sharing my experiences with those who want to learn about it! Today I got to talk to middle school students about everything I do from finding and writing stories to making connections and meeting new people in the community. Every day is an adventure and no day working in news looks the same.

Continuing on with stories of climate changes impact on Delmarva, I was able to talk about “ghost forests” that have formed from the impacts of saltwater intrusion. An added bonus is a local event that will allow the general public get in on the discussion of climate changes impacts that are already affecting our local communities. https://lnkd.in/ePm8Hx6E
