The Workforce Intelligence Network for Southeast Michigan (WIN) convenes MiApprenticeship.org, Michigan Alliance for Greater Mobility Advancement (MAGMA) MiAutomobility.org, and Michigan’s Health Career Alliance (HCA) while cultivating a comprehensive and cohesive talent system to ensure employers’ success.
WIN is a partnership of 10 community colleges and seven Michigan Works! Agencies in southeast Michigan. WIN specializes in fostering collaboration among talent partners, including workforce development, community colleges, four-year post-secondary institutions, K-12 schools, economic development organizations, government, community-based organizations, employers, and others.
Activities at WIN are centered around three goals: data, employer strategies, and policy.
1) DATA: Provide current and actionable labor market intelligence to allow for greater regional talent system effectiveness.
2) EMPLOYER STRATEGIES: Strengthen and sustain an employer-driven talent system that serves as a resource hub and connection point for regional businesses, industries, and other stakeholders.
3) POLICY: Improve institutional, local, state, and federal talent development policy through research, thought leadership, and innovative practice. Special areas of focus include career pathways and data quality and access.
