✨ Excited to announce that WomenWiseMentoring has launched! 🎈 🔎 Are you a woman in data who has at some point felt the need for a mentor? 💡 WomenWiseData has officially launched our programme, WomenWiseMentoring, allowing women in the earlier stages of their data careers to craft meaningful relationships with a senior female data mentor, who can support them in achieving their goals (powered by Artefact and Investigo). When Athena Sharma and I first connected regarding this idea several months ago, we had a shared feeling that we wanted to build something which empowered women in data to feel more strengthened, supported and empowered. As I went and had conversations with women building their data careers, I had a few realisations. It's more challenging to navigate your way through the industry if you don't have a safe space to channel ideas through, a sounding board to bounce thoughts off of and an example of where you could get to, through someone that feels similar to you. Similarly, connecting with empowered female data leaders showed us there is an appetite to give back to the community, light up a path that they pioneered and if there was an opportunity to help someone else, it was welcomed. As a result, Francesca Platì, Athena and I tailored this mentorship programme to marry both sides together and create a platform for growth and inspiration. WomenWiseMentoring will see 6 personalised one-to-one mentoring sessions over the course of 6 months, including a kick off breakfast, a goal setting session, and a wrap up session, reviewing achievements before being entered into the hand-crafted Artefact School of Data programme. And the best thing is... Applications are open now. And there is a chance to be involved in our first cohort if you share your profile with us soon! Applications close on the 14th June, with a view to commence by the 1st July. If you are a woman with 1-8 years of work experience in data and you are curious to be involved, apply here: https://lnkd.in/eHCUPvMM And if you're curious to see who our brilliant initial mentors are, look no further..... #womenwisementoring #womenwisedata Cecile Wallace Heather Randolph Liz H. “Workplaces have subconsciously pushed women out for many years. Conscious change needs to be created.” Last week, Kalina Tomova hosted the April WomenWiseData panel event at the Artefact London office. Our panel of senior women in data discussed the data leader playbook, strategies to elevate women in data, the path to CDO, and a host of other subjects relevant to women looking to progress their data careers. Plus, we were delighted to launch our mentoring programme, WomenWiseMentoring. Read our blog on the event here: https://bit.ly/441AhwT Thanks to all our attendees, to Athena Sharma and the Artefact team, and to our panellists Ruth Hunt, Dr Parves Khan, Norma Dove-Edwin, Maria Tarasidou, Joanne B. and Di Mayze. We already can’t wait for the next event! #event #leadership #group #community #data #technology #womenindata #dei #diversityequityinclusion #recruitment
