About us
The 24-month Womenture project aligns its efforts with the European Commission's objective to create interconnected, inclusive and more efficient innovation ecosystems across Europe that draws on the existing strengths of European, national, regional, and local ecosystems and pulls in new, less well-represented stakeholders and less advanced in innovation territories, to set, undertake, and achieve collective ambitions towards challenges for the benefit of the society, including green, digital, and social transitions. The overall objective of the project is to empower innovation agencies and accelerators to generate and embed new joint services and activities into their initiatives to boost female entrepreneurship and women innovation in the participating ecosystems. The consortium brings together innovation agencies and accelerators from strong, moderate, and emerging innovator regions with the aim to support women innovators, spread the entrepreneurial mindset and present them. Womenture project is Funded by the European Union.

𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫: 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐞? Yesterday I visited the Female Founders Stammtisch in Erfurt. I was happy to talk about our experiences at CYNiO and to share our journey with ambitious people. Thanks to Ilmkubator, hike 🚀 – Hochschulinkubator Nordhausen, Gründerwerkstatt neudeli, we Female Founders and K1 - Gründungsservice for organizing the event! Having been involved in setting up the international program Womenture for female founders in my last job, this time I was on the other side and was able to give concrete insights from my daily experience as a female founder. Starting a company in such a male-dominated field comes with its unique set of challenges and opportunities. As a female founder, I've faced my share of hurdles, but I'm happy to say that I haven't experienced any disadvantages due to my gender (so far). On the opposite, as a predominantly female team, we are actually experiencing quite a lot of support at the moment, which we are very grateful for! 🚀 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝟑 𝐤𝐞𝐲-𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐦𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫: 👉🏽 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝, 𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭! Confidence is so important, but it is often used incorrectly, if you take the german word (Selbstbewusstein) apart, it stands for being self-aware (sich selbst bewusst ein). If we are aware of the areas in which we are experts and those in which we are not, then we can communicate more professionally and present ourselves with greater impact. 👉🏽𝐍𝐨. 𝟐 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 I don't know if this is just my problem or if it's the same for the majority of women. However, I notice the issue of apologizing more in women around me than in men. Self-reflection is important and standing by your mistakes is too, but girls, we don't have to apologize for every fart! 👉🏽𝐍𝐨. 𝟑 𝐁𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 Yes, women are still underrepresented in some areas and continue to be still disadvantaged for various historical and biological and many other reasons. But just complaining and playing the role of victim won't get us anywhere. We have to accept the current situation and take action to change it. I know we can do that! I am looking forward to a future in which all genders are accepted and gender no longer plays a role and everyone has the same opportunities, but there is still a loooooooong way to go. So ladies (and all amazing diverse people out there), take advantage of the great programs that are currently being created for you!
