Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis

Today, I attended the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis Annual Luncheon. The room was bursting with incredible women who are doing amazing things, and I was overjoyed to reconnect with so many familiar faces after years apart. The warmth of their hugs and embraces filled my heart. A highlight of today was listening to the inspiring keynote speaker, Princess Sarah Culberson. Her remarkable journey—spanning adoption, war, and forgiveness—resonates deeply. As a global philanthropist, Princess Sarah's work through her nonprofit, Sierra Leone Rising, is transforming lives by improving education, public health, and empowering women. Her story, captured in her book "A Princess Found," which Disney is bringing to life, reminds us all of the profound impact of reconnecting with our roots. I was also incredibly honored to sit at the Hyde Family Foundation table, a steadfast supporter of UrbanArt Commission (UAC). Their generous contributions have significantly enhanced our capacity to serve and make a difference. I left today's luncheon feeling humbled, grateful, and inspired by all the phenomenal work being championed by the Women’s Foundation in Memphis lead by Shante Avant. #WomensFoundation #Empowerment #Community #Inspiration
