Brain tumors may affect the ability to think, reason, and remember. Difficulties with these neurocognitive function occur in up to 90% of patients with brain tumors. Neurocognitive deficits may be caused by the tumor treatment, or other complicating factors (e.g., seizures, fatigue). Neuropsychological evaluation is another one of the specialist visits common with a brain tumor diagnosis, and is used to identify neurocognitive deficits and develop individualized treatment plans. #BrainTumor #BrainCancer #BrainTumorAwareness #BrainTumorSupport #GrayMatters #WithINtentionalKindnessAndSupport #WINKS #WINKSBT

Did you know? An estimated 700,000 people are living with a primary brain tumor; roughly 3,600 live in Hampton Roads with another 120 diagnosed annually.
