In the push to improve our environmental impact, it’s important to be proactive.. Of the “3 R’s” available, Recycling and Reusing isn’t enough to ‘move the needle’ on sustainability goals. At Windgap Medical, we prioritize the first “R”—Reduce. We believe our approach will make big strides with lighter footprints—and make more of an impact by making less in the first place. Find out how we’re Injecting Sustainability into autoinjector technology—and why “Reduce” is the best way forward in our 5-part series on “Injecting Sustainability” into drug delivery. https://lnkd.in/g_jPJK5z #DrugDelivery #Autoinjectors #PharmaInnovation #Sustainability #Lyophilization #WindgapMedical #HealthcareRevolution #ComplexInjectables #EnvironmentalImpact

The 3Rs of sustainability: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. In the push for a smaller environmental impact, the pharmaceutical industry often leans on recycling and reusing materials as its initial efforts. But what if we make the first “R”—Reduce—the highest priority and the first step in drug delivery product development? What if we could make bigger strides with lighter footprints? What if we could achieve more by making less? True sustainability will come when we lean harder into the opportunities offered by complex medications instead of forcing them to bend to our current manufacturing, supply chain, and delivery architectures. If you want different results, you have to do things differently. Another win for patient-centric care and long-acting therapies! We’re excited to announce that Windgap Medical, Inc. has been selected to collaborate with the Novo Nordisk Bio Innovation Hub through its Co-Creation Greenhouse Program. This collaboration will provide Windgap with funding and access to a formulation and device specialist from Novo Nordisk. Our dual chamber delivery technology revolutionizes the capabilities of both the device and the medicine it contains by stabilizing and simplifying treatment options. With Novo Nordisk, we will be working together to further assess and develop Windgap’s dual-chamber autoinjector for automatic reconstitution and administration of diabetes and obesity therapeutics. #Innovation #LifeSciences #BioInnovationHub #DrugDelivery #injectables #devicedevelopment #Windgapmedical #combinationproducts #complexinjectables #longactinginjectables #LAIs

This editorial from Ana Gomes dos Santos of AstraZeneca provides insightful commentary on the delivery of long-acting injectables, especially in biologics. She underscores why this field requires massive innovation to meet consumer demand for a self-administered therapy route and how device developers can help. The high viscosity and need for careful and time-sensitive mixing can make the delivery of long-acting injectables complex and challenging. DM me to learn how Windgap’s novel delivery platforms are rising to meet the challenge of simplifying LAI administration — while prioritizing the patient experience. https://lnkd.in/et95Wu7g

This is one key indicator that separates top performers from the average. How do I know? Well, I’ve likely interviewed your boss at some point to find out. 😎 For this episode of The #medtechtalentlab podcast, I had the opportunity to host Mr. Anthony W., former FDA Division Director & the VP of Regulatory & Quality at Windgap Medical, Inc. Tony, like so many others on the show, pointed to this one key indicator when asked what separates top performance from average. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬. Sure, we all will 100% run into challenges, obstacles, frustrating situations. The question is what are we going to do about it? There are those that show up to present (aka bitch about) a problem Yet, there are those that realize there is an issue but work proactively to present possible ways to solve it. Which camp do you fall in? 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝: -Tony’s transition from FDA to industry -His take on leadership & lessons learned from his military experience -Advice for those aspiring to lead the RA and/or QA dept functions …and so much more! Tony, it was such a pleasure having you on the show! Thanks for all the valuable nuggets you shared for the Med-Tech community at large. -MR 𝐏𝐒 Links to this episode and almost 100 others in the comments! #podcast #hiring #interviewing #recruiting #medtech #medicaldevices #2candidates10days
