Yesterday, during New Teacher training, Sue Ann Powell, Treasurer of the North Montgomery County Retired School Personnel, gifted ten first-year teachers with a $100 gift card to Amazon. Sue Ann stated that she and the other members remember all too well what it was like their first year of teaching as they waited for their paycheck to be able to purchase items for their classroom. The Delta Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society of Women Teachers also gave away $100 gift cards to ten first-year teachers. It was a great day in Willis ISD! #wearewillis #newteacheracademy #newteacher #backtoschool #retiredteacher #deltakappagamma #teaching #education #secondary #primary

New Wildkats have arrived! 🎉 Willis ISD is excited to welcome all the new Wildkat teachers joining us this year! Being a teacher is a calling, and we know you have many choices when it comes to school districts. We are so glad you chose Willis and we can't wait to see the impact you will have on the students of Willis ISD. On Tuesday, Dr. James welcomed new teachers, saying in part, "I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible journey each of you has embarked upon by choosing to be a part of Willis ISD. Whether you are a first-year teacher bringing fresh ideas and boundless energy or a seasoned educator with a wealth of experience and wisdom, we are deeply honored that you have chosen to join our family. Your decision to be here speaks volumes about your dedication to making a difference in the lives of our students and our community." "Let's remember that education is a collaborative effort, involving not only teachers but also students, parents, and the entire community. By fostering strong relationships and open communication, we can build a supportive network that empowers every student to reach their full potential. Your role as educators extends beyond the classroom; you are mentors, role models, and champions for our students' dreams." #wearewillis #newteacheracademy #newteacher #teachers #backtoschool #newschoolyear #education #district #superintendent
