  • Captain Crunch - needs an amputation Explorer - needs an amputation Pear - needs an amputation Rockette - wound care and stabilization due to a torn trachea All of these dogs and cats, plus so many more, are WHY we host #BetsForPets each spring season, because each of them deserves a second chance at a life of love and comfort, and thanks to your support through #JanesFund, we are able to provide them much-needed elevated care so they can have that. Bets For Pets is next week Saturday, April 20th, and all the proceeds from this event go to Jane's Fund, our medical fund that pays for all of the care these animals need. The event features Vegas-style casino games, food & drinks, fun prizes, and it's in the amazing setting of Nyle Maxwell's Vehicles Unique - his private collection of vintage collectible cars. Tickets are just $60. We hope you'll join us in a fun night that helps us help them. Check the comments or our link in bio for info on how to purchase your tickets today!

  • We've got exciting mews - 🐈 kitten 🐈 season is here, and we're getting ready for the incoming itty-bitty kitties with Kitten-Fest 2024, and you're invited! What's Kitten-Fest? A donation and fundraising event to stock up on the supplies we'll need to give each of these fragile little ones the best chance at growing up healthy so that they can be adopted into loving homes. Join us on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, from noon-4pm in front of the shelter's Adoption Center to take part. We'll have booths with local small businesses - buy from them and they'll donate 10% of the proceeds to the shelter kitten fund! - and you'll learn about the importance of spay/neuter, there's games, face painting, fun photo ops, and more. Plus, every person who donates to the kittens during this family friendly event will receive a raffle ticket (one ticket per person limit). Your raffle ticket enters you to win one of many wonderful prizes donated by local businesses. Here's a link to our Kitten Wish List! We'll see you there! ≽^•⩊•^≼ Purrs and biscuits. ≽^•⩊•^≼

  • We've gone in the right direction   with dogs and we're still very comfortable in the cat category. Dogs are still in our dangerous category, though, and need fosters and adopters to help make space for the new dogs that come in. We started the day today with 189 dogs within the four walls of the shelter, with 110 being the maximum ideal number. Adoptions this weekend are just  . And, in case you missed it, you'll get a free umbrella with your adoption. Because we love being zany with our specials when we get the opportunity! We've got foster opportunities for any length of time you might be considering, from as little as just the afternoon with the  #DoggyDayOut  program to Overnight Fun fosters to Weekend Getaways and even longer. How long can you foster a dog? However long works for you! Alita is one of the 189 dogs here today, and she's ready to find that new home to relax in. Look into those soulful eyes and consider if you have space to help a sweet gal like Alita or one of her pals here at the shelter. If you can help by fostering or adopting, what's the first step? COME TO THE SHELTER! We work hard to make it as simple as possible. Walk-ins are welcome and we're open daily from noon-6pm. Check the comments or our link-in-bio for more info. See you soon!
