What a month. Thank you to everyone -- more than 1,200 of you in all -- who attended our series of information sessions about our new programs and grant process throughout July! Building Philadelphia’s future starts with you, and we hope you’re as excited as we are for what we can achieve together. It was important to us to be in community with you as we shared more about how we can support your work. Thank you to our gracious hosts including Public Health Management Corporation, Esperanza College of Eastern University, and William Way LGBT Community Center. After today, the application window for our first round of RFPs will be closed. Our next round of RFPs will be opening on September 18th. Find more information here: https://lnkd.in/e53xeBPp

We want our work to reflect the priorities of the communities we serve. Thank you to Inside Philanthropy for sharing some of the ways we sought input from hundreds of community leaders and others to define our new strategies, and the ways in which our process has changed and evolved to better meet nonprofits' needs. We can't wait to keep the conversation going with those making an impact every day across Philadelphia. https://lnkd.in/ebGSG-8M

Thank you to so many of you for joining us for our “Inspired by Community: Sharing Our New Grantmaking Strategies" virtual community session last week! A recording of the session is now available on our website: https://lnkd.in/efdFEQq4. We have three more community sessions coming up this month with the same content, all in person in communities across the city. We are looking forward to joining hundreds of our neighbors to talk about how we can make an impact together through our new grantmaking programs. (If you have registered for an upcoming community event but can no longer attend, please take a moment to unregister yourself to make space for those on the waitlist.) https://lnkd.in/eifJTgU7

For nearly 80 years, our Foundation has served as a convener and coordinator of civic and philanthropic initiatives. This includes, among other things, improving our region through engagement with critical democratic processes. Our Democracy & Civic Initiatives Program Director Jessica Richards shares more about how we’re supporting nonpartisan voter outreach and education through 2024 and beyond: https://lnkd.in/eAZQ47Kt
