A new study from the MN Department of Health and Wilder Research showed that 17% of people being treated for mental health or substance use disorders experienced a discharge delay from inpatient care. The most common reason for discharge delays was a lack of available beds in a safe setting like inpatient psychiatric units and intensive residential treatment service facilities for adult and pediatric patients. We had an amazing time at our all-staff celebration today! It was wonderful to see so many colleagues and their families come together for a day of fun, relaxation, and connection. Highlights included: 🍴 Delicious lunch from Afro Deli and sweet treats from Sweet Fruci's Frozen Delights. 🎨 Henna and a caricature artist. 🎉 Activities with a kids' bouncy house, corn hole, and giant Jenga. Thank you to everyone who was able to take time from their usual work to join us. Your presence made the day special. Let's continue to support each other and take time for self-care. A hard-working and motivated single mother, Laverne was staying at a shelter while she searched for affordable and secure housing. After finding stable housing with Wilder family supportive housing services, Laverne began advocating for better housing policies at the Minnesota Capitol. Don’t miss her powerful story. #PreventHomelessness #Homeless #SupportiveHousing #Advocacy

The Wilder Child Development Center is one of eight early childhood education programs in Minnesota selected to implement the EGG Toolkit during the 2024-25 school year. EGG, short for “Empowering Generational Greatness,” helps children develop executive function and self-regulation skills during the critical years of early childhood, the stage when brain development is at its fastest and most foundational. We are egg-cited to take part in this pilot with The Family Partnership! https://lnkd.in/ewpZpYhy #BrainDevelopment #EarlyLearning
