Today is National Day of the American Cowboy, a day dedicated to celebrating the traditions, lifestyle, hard-work, and values of this way of life. Noe has been a part of Wilco and in his current position for a little over a year. In addition to being a crucial member of the store team, Noe also has a background in agriculture. Growing up with his brothers, they spent their summer days helping their father in the pear and apple orchards, thinning and pruning trees until it was time to harvest. "I believe growing up in that environment unknowingly prepared me to work at Wilco because I already had been living the Wilco lifestyle!"

"My favorite thing about my job as a Groomer is seeing the happy tail wags and the parent's smiling faces when they pick their fur babies up!" - Shyla, Pet Groomer at the Pasco Wilco Store Shyla has been a part of Wilco for 3 months, has been grooming for a year, and has been working with dogs for 9 years. She knew she wanted to work with animals when she grew up after being involved in 4-H as a child, showing Holland Lops and Netherland Dwarf rabbits. When Shyla isn't at work, she likes to play softball and go on hikes with her dog.

Canby Wilco team members were honored to participate in Randall Children's Hospital's Second Annual Touch a Truck event last month in Portland, OR. This hands-on event provided children of all ages the opportunity to explore trucks and vehicles of all sizes, from fire engines, school buses, lawn mowers and more. Kids were also able to meet firefighters, talk to a first responders, and hear from many community organizations providing education and hands-on safety demonstrations for families. Thank you to Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and everyone involved for making this event possible and such a success!

In June, the Canby team was honored with the Best of Canby “Best Pet Friendly Business” award from the Canby Area Chamber of Commerce. This was such a fun surprise for the team and we are deeply thankful to get to serve such an amazing community!

Fair season is here! Wilco team members had a great weekend attending the Tuolumne County Junior Livestock Auction in Sonora, CA. We're looking forward to another busy summer supporting 4H and FFA youth as they show and sell their project animals!
