Our Executive Director, Jenique Jones, speaks out against the Supreme Court ruling to criminalize homelessness. Despite record-high homelessness rates, systemic issues like rising housing costs and inadequate healthcare are ignored. At WhyHunger, we believe in upholding basic human rights and ending marginalization. It’s time for support, not criminalization. Join us in advocating for justice and structural solutions. Together, let’s ensure everyone has shelter and opportunity. What do you think about this decision? Comment below! This month, we've been highlighting some of our partners, and today we are showcasing CODIMCA, an organization in Honduras. Despite a $15.4M investment in the "Rehabilitation of Sections of the Right Bank of the Guaymitas River" project in 2021, climate change-fueled flooding still ravaged villages like Mealler, San José del Cayo, and Caimitio. Many were left homeless, incomes were lost, and children were kept out of school. This underscores the urgent need for climate action and community support. Swipe to learn more about their story and how your support can make a difference! Visit here to donate to our rapid response fund!: https://lnkd.in/enWR7dNe
