When we say that we are a true family business... we are! CoFounders, Meghan Rowe and Keith Rowe's son Keegan is joining them to showcase our new innovation at the National Co+op Grocers Convergence show today! Full circle for the founders as they built the business by cold-calling many co-ops in the early days from their kitchen table to place just a few products... Our journey to White Leaf began soon after their first son, Keegan, was born. Like all parents, a time came when they started looking for convenient store bought options and discovered baby and toddler food grocery store aisles. They immediately recognized an unmet need – while they saw lots of organic and GMO-free certified products, none went a few steps beyond to showcase regenerative farming, the pinnacle of purity, traceability and transparency. Keegan also began having adverse reactions to even the most organic and 'healthy' baby food options, further hindering their trust in the farming behind the ingredients. They began to import Biodynamic baby food from Europe, realized that other parents were doing the same, and knew they were onto something. So, they got to work and decided to create the solution for themselves. Their mission continues to be to make regeneratively farmed foods widely accessible — by supporting this method of farming, they can make a fundamental difference on using the planet’s limited natural resources more effectively, while nourishing families with healthier, purer foods.
