Luxury Travel Advisor Stacey Blum recently returned from a journey through Nepal. Read a bit about the beginning of her journey in Kathmandu below.
Nepal, with its rich culture and spirituality, thrilling adventures, wellness experiences, and mesmerizing wildlife encounters, offers an abundance of reasons to visit! 🇳🇵 Beginning my journey in Kathmandu, I've been reflecting on the incredible experiences Nepal has to offer. My passion for travel is fueled by a desire to inspire others to explore the extraordinary. Nepal is a destination where every moment presents an opportunity to learn, grow, and return home with captivating stories. Often, Nepal is narrowly perceived as a trekker's paradise, but it's so much more than that. It beckons to the inquisitive traveler, offering profound enrichment and transformation. From the bustling streets of Kathmandu, where ancient temples and vibrant markets abound, to the serene tranquility of Mustang, each region leaves a distinct impression, providing visitors with a deeper understanding of the world and themselves. Fascinating Facts about Kathmandu: * Kathmandu Valley is home to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Durbar Squares, temples, and stupas. * Thamel, a popular tourist district in Kathmandu, is known for its bustling streets filled with shops, restaurants, and vibrant nightlife. * The Kathmandu Valley was once a major hub along the ancient trade route between Tibet and India, contributing to its rich cultural heritage and diverse influences. For me, travel is a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. It's about forging connections, both with others and with ourselves, and embracing vulnerability to uncover the soulful essence of each destination. Nepal embodies this spirit of soulfulness and purpose, inviting travelers to immerse themselves fully in its cultural tapestry and natural wonders. So, if you're ready to embark on a transformative journey filled with meaningful experiences, Nepal awaits with open arms. Let's embark on this soulful adventure together! 🏔️🙏 #Nepal #TravelInspiration #SoulfulJourney

Condé Nast Top Travel Specialist Jamie Jones shares 52 tips for first time safari goers she compiled with fellow travelers from a recent trip to Botswana with Wilderness. What would you add to her list?
I have traveled to Africa for safari more than anywhere else in the world. I remember my first time - I packed too much and was not prepared for a trip that would change my life and pave the way for a successful career planning luxury safaris. What I do not remember are all of the things I wish I had known prior to that first trip. These are the things that are second nature to me but helpful to consider for a first timer. What tips would you add to the list? WhirlAway Travel

Denise Booth shares her expertise with County Lines Magazine on cruising.
Does cruising have you confused? There are many different options to consider - river, expedition, large ocean, intimate luxury, world, family friendly, adults only, the list goes on. Denise Booth, one of WhirlAway Travel’s Luxury Travel Advisors, shared her expertise with County Line Magazine. Personally, a river cruise through Portugal and Spain is next on my list and I would love to do an expedition cruise to the Galapagos with my kids. Jamie Jones shares a recent experience in Botswana to learn more about the human wildlife conflict and what organizations are doing to pave the way for a better future.
On a recent trip to Botswana I had the opportunity to visit one of the projects spearheaded by Andrew Stein and his team at CLAWS Conservancy. The work they are doing to reduce human wildlife conflict while supporting local communities and protecting wildlife really hit home for me. Conservation isn’t just about protecting land and wildlife. It is also includes figuring out ways to support the local community so that there is a harmonious relationship between all. Thank you Wilderness for introducing me this wonderful organization. Having a better understanding of the total picture of human wildlife conflict and what is being done to support the future of all is so meaningful to me. https://lnkd.in/eMhAy2qh
Jamie Jones on Instagram: "Lions find cattle quite tasty. 😋 Communities in Botswana rely on cattle farming as a means of food and income. When lions eat cattle, food and income for the community are affected. In 2013 in Northern Botswana nearly half the lion population was killed by poison from communities to try and stop the killing of cattle. During my trip to Botswana I had the opportunity to

Botswana. I have been pretty quiet for the past 10 days on social media. Normally I love to share daily updates of my adventures but this time I felt moved to cut out the noise and really focus on being present. 10 years ago I took my first trip to Africa. I visited Botswana and had a physically and emotionally overwhelming sense that I had finally come home. Since then, I have been back to the continent more than anywhere else in the world, but not back to Botswana until now. Once again, I have come home. There have been countless moments in this trip that I have been brought to tears with emotions I can’t put into words. I understand why people keep coming back and those that are here never leave. The Delta is the true Garden of Eden. I believe that with every ounce of my being. Thank you Wilderness for filling my soul. I am so blessed to be here and to help others on their journey.
