We’ve appreciated hearing from commercial lines brokers about some of the key topics affecting our industry. Here’s the final question we asked attendees at our recent panel discussion, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺, and once again we’re opening it up to you. We look forward to sharing the results with you! #WawanesaCommercialMarket

Today, we’re taking the time to reflect on the unique heritage and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Turtle Island. It’s also a perfect day to share that earlier this year we launched an Indigenous Employee Resource Group dedicated to creating a safe space for brave conversations, fostering belonging for Indigenous employees, increasing cultural awareness, and driving reconciliation within Wawanesa. We celebrate and honour the meaningful work underway by this community of employees.

In June, we celebrate National Indigenous History Month - a time to honour the culture, traditions, and experiences of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We encourage everyone at Wawanesa to lean into learning about the rich history of Indigenous Peoples through resources we’re sharing across the organization. #NIHM2024.

We enjoyed connecting with the future talent and leaders of our industry this week at the IBAO #YBC24. We participated in an informative discussion with fellow insurers on the Senior Leadership Panel this morning. Our VP, Ontario Region, Susan Williams-Bonet, shared her insight on ways we’re investing to better serve our brokers and members, while evolving our business through commercial growth, claims service, and broker appointments. “We are looking for real partnerships with brokers and want to grow these partnerships in Eastern Canada,” said Susan.
