Join the Community this Saturday, June 22nd to unveil this new community asset. Grand Openings call for Congratulations … and WTI Rubber Duckies!   WTI and the entire project team celebrated alongside the City of Evansville earlier this month at the grand opening of the Evansville Aquatic Center.   The Evansville Aquatic Center features an array of amenities intentionally designed to appeal to diverse user groups. Keeping younger guests entertained is the zero-depth-entry activity area, featuring a variety of water spray and play features, including a dumping bucket! Guests seeking adventure and active play can enjoy the climbing wall, diving well, body slides, and basketball hoops. The six-lane lap pool is ideal for learn-to-swim and exercise programs; the connected multi-purpose current channel expands these offerings to resistance training and walking. Congratulations, YWCA Quad Cities!   Community Members gathered earlier this month to celebrate the #GrandOpening of this incredible new facility! Among its many impressive features is the Indoor Aquatic Center. Enhancing indoor aquatic programmatic offerings, community members can now participate year-round in lap swimming, water aerobics, and learn-to-swim classes. The waterslide, current channel, climbing wall, basketball hoops, and zero-depth-entry area with water play features and a play structure will provide indoor aquatic entertainment for all. In addition to the Indoor Aquatic Center, facility amenities include a gymnasium, weight and cardio workout rooms, cozy library spaces, a large, commercial-grade kitchen, and childcare classrooms.   WTI is proud to be a part of a collaborative Project Team and work alongside the YWCA and the Quad Cities Community. Congratulations to The Woodlands Township! The Falconwing Pool, recently renovated, is open once again to the Community! Expanding and enhancing the facility's familiar features, guests will now enjoy a larger leisure pool, complete with lap lanes well-suited for lap swimming and learn-to-swim programming. Adrenaline Seekers can plunge into the pool on two new drop slides; while families and younger guests can explore the brand new children's pool! The children's area features a number of geysers and custom spray features, in addition to an upgraded slide replacing it's beloved predecessor! Rounding out the facility’s enhanced offerings is a resurfaced pool deck with a coating that stays much cooler to the touch than sun-soaked concrete. Additionally, ample shading now covers both the children's pool and the new slide structure, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. Behind the Scenes - the aquatic mechanical equipment and water treatment system has been completely upgraded - ensuring the facility's safety, efficiency, and operability well into the future. Alongside our Project Partners, we are thrilled to provide an upgraded aquatic amenity fit to serve the community for generations to come!
