  • Richfield Days Parade received a Washington County Tourism Grant in the amount of $24,000 to be dispersed over the next three years. Supervisor Brian Gallitz joined Chief Community Development Officer Jamie Ludovic to present the check to Richfield Days Parade Committee Treasurer Tom Lechner, other members of the committee, Village of Richfield Administrator Jim Healy and Richfield Volunteer Fire Company Fire Chief Gregory West. This year’s parade will step off at 11AM on the last day of the Richfield Days weekend festivities on Sunday, August 25. Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann designated $300,000 in one-time funding for grants to enhance tourism-related activities, promote economic growth and foster community development. The grants were approved by the County Board Executive Committee and funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars.

  • Hope to see you at Taste of Germantown tomorrow! Kiwanis of Germantown, WI Club received a Washington County Tourism Grant in the amount of $1240.00 for their annual Taste of Germantown event. Washington County Chief Community Development Officer Jamie Ludovic presented the check to club president Tom Barney and other members of the Germantown Kiwanis at their meeting. The 11th Annual Taste of Germantown will take place tomorrow- Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Firemen’s Park in Germantown.     The Germantown Historical Society received a Washington County Tourism grant of $10,000 for their Biergarten and Oktoberfest events. The Tourism Grants to local non-profits totaled $300,000 and were designated from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding the county received.   • The Washington County Samaritan Campus is officially under the new management of EOM Healthcare Group as of Monday, July 1. EOM Owner Jacob Jeidel joined County Executive Josh Schoemann and County Board Chair Jeffrey Schleif at a ceremonial signing last night. Many County Board Supervisors attended, along with department heads, county constitutional officers and Matt Furno, former Samaritan Campus Administrator who will remain during the transition of ownership of all the campus buildings. The campus will continue to be called Samaritan Campus, but the nursing facility will be renamed Samaritan Nursing & Rehab.

  • Vote for your favorite “I Voted” sticker! The Washington County Clerk’s Office has concluded the online submissions for the new “I Voted” sticker contest for Washington County students. County Clerk Ashley Reichert said more than 200 students submitted designs, and the public now can vote for the winners. The top-selected designs will be posted online for public voting until July 31, 2024. TO VOTE: visit https://lnkd.in/g3putXir A winner be selected from each of the four grade level ranges: K5-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. The designs will be used in the November 5, 2024 General Election and in elections throughout the following year.
