This past weekend, team members from TOBA entities in Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa gathered to celebrate the 2024 TOBA Annual Awards Banquet in Omaha! Attendees enjoyed a delicious catered dinner, captivating entertainment from magician David Kwong, award recognition for their numerous outstanding achievements, and live music and dancing. As part of the awards, we recognized John Steffens for his 20 years of service and friendship to TOBA and Wald Family. We also celebrated the incredible success of each of our Wald Family Foods plants. In 2023, we kicked off the first ever Plant of the Year competition with the goal of reducing accidents and waste, and improving productivity, employee retention, and profitability. Though each category only had one winner, we are beyond proud of the massive strides each plant took! The individual category award winners are as follows: ⭐ Safety Champion – C Street ⭐ Waste Reduction Champion – F Street ⭐ Productivity Champion – F Street ⭐ Employee Retention Champion – C Street ⭐ Profitability – C Street Finally, the awards portion of the night concluded with the crowning of Wald Family Foods’ first ever Plant of the Year winner. Congratulations to the amazing team at C Street for taking home the Wald Cup! C Street improved in each of the core five areas, even going so far as to not record a single accident in 12 months. Thank you, C Street for being Waldsafe and for keeping our facility going strong! We are grateful to have had the chance to gather with so many of our team members and their loved ones.
